Cryolophosaurus - Cousin to Allosaurus, I Think...

Today I'm going to tell you about Cryolophosaurus.

This dinosaur has a crest on its head. It lived in Antarctica during the Jurassic time period. It is special because not many dinosaurs have been in Antarctica. But during the Jurassic Antarctica was hot, not cold.

Crylophosaurus is smaller than an Allosaurus. Allosaurus doesn't have a crest, but Ceratosaurus had three horns on his head.

Crylophosaurus would eat meat and kill other creatures that lived in the Jurassic.  In the Jurassic it was very hot. And that's it.

Actually, my small friend, Cryolophosaurus is a member of the family Dilophosauridae. This means he is related to Dilophosaurus and other dinosaurs related to that animal. Check out my entries this week on Cryolophosaurus!
