Ceratosaurus

Ceratosaurus (sarah-to-saurus) lived in the hot Jurassic and it's smaller than Allosaurus and it has three small horns on it's heard.

It hunts for meat to eat, probably dinos like brachiasaurus and stegasaurus. It also runs on two legs, has a tail to balance it.

This dinosaurs is 3000 "fousand" pounds and it is bigger than a  human. If it had to battle Allosaurus it would lose and Allosaurus would win.

Acrocanthrosaurus

Acrocanthrosaurus is a meat-eater from the early Cretaceous. It has a ridge on its back, but it's not as big as the Spinosaurus ridge.  It's a part the theropard club, which means it's a three-towed feet and a long tail for balance.

A theropod has a great sense of smell! I think that Acrocanthrosaurus had a great sense of smell.

Fossils for this dinosaur have been found in Texas and Oklahoma and paleontologists have recently been able to study things about Acro's brain!!

Here's a video for you to watch.  I think it's funny. There's a red carnivore and a blue herbivore. First, the herbivore whacks his tail and the meat eater bites his neck, and then the herbivore dies!

Sharp Horns!

Xenotarsosaurus had two horns and it really had big lumps on his back. It lived in the late Cretaceous and it hunts for meat to eat. And it is a Therapod because it has three claws on its feet and it has a big, long tail for balance and it has big, sharp horns and that's it.

Only a small few fossils have been found in Argentina for this dinosaur and so we don't know very much about it. I think it's a cousin to Allosaurus.

Good Hunters...Deinonychus

Today we're going to learn about Deinonychus.

Deinonychus is a good hunter and their claws are bigger than Troodon claws. They eat meat and they live in the Cretacsous and sometimes they hunt in packs.

They kills herbavoires, who eat plants and they love their toe claws that they use to hunt with. Deinonychus loves meat!
