Aucasaurus Hunt

Aucasaurus lived where there was like Carcaradontosaurus and Saltasaurs that was the main long neck plant eater. And Aucasaurus would come and eat the prey. When the Carcaradontosaurus would come and steal their meal, the Aucuasaurs would have to defend themselves so they could eat the meat of that Saltasaurus.

Aucasaurus lived in Argentina in the Cretaceous time period. And that's all for today.

Carnotaurus: The Bull-headed Dinosaur

Carnotaurus is one of the dinosaurs that lived at the same time as the Iguanodons. And its head kind of looked like a bull, but there is something paleontologists know about the difference between a Carnotaurus and a bull and that is a Carnotaurus runs on two legs and a bull runs on four. Carnotaurus lived in the Cretaceous Period. I think Carnotaurus lived part in the savannah and part in the forest. They hunted sometimes in packs and sometimes alone, and that is all.

Albertosaurus - The Terrors of the Forest

"Alberta Lizard"
Albertosaurus eats meat and it lives in the Cretaceous and it lives with Parasauralophus, and Albertosaurus is a cousin to Tyrannosaurus, the killing machine.

T-Rex is much, much more bigger than Albertosaurus, and it is one of the coolest.

Something else I know about this dinosaur is that it got discovered in Alberta. And I know about Alberta because that is where my Dad grew up! It is so cool.  The first Albertosaurus fossils were found in the Red Deere River bed, and it is a theropod and that's it!

I like this video because it has two of my favorites, Allosaurus and Albertosaurus. Which one do you think would win the battle? I think Albertosaurus would win.

Daspletosaurus, scariest dinosaur before T-Rex

Daspletosaurus lived in a full world. There were einiosaurus, and styracosaurus. At that time, he had two claws and lived in the cretaceous just like tyrannosaurus rex, who came after daspletosaurus. They hunt meat, but plant eaters scavenged for plants for their meal. When they died, new dinosaurs took their place. After the Cretaceous was gone then then ice age appeared and all the other creatures and then we humans came along and then that's it.

Hot Hot Desert

Oviraptor ate eggs, and he would steal them from other dinosaurs in his world. Oviraptors and velociraptor and protoceratops and protocephly and shuvia all lived in the desert. He liked to eat eggs, meat and plants.

Oviraptor fossils were discovered in something by China. (My dad says it's Mongolia). That's it.

Ceratosaurus

Ceratosaurus (sarah-to-saurus) lived in the hot Jurassic and it's smaller than Allosaurus and it has three small horns on it's heard.

It hunts for meat to eat, probably dinos like brachiasaurus and stegasaurus. It also runs on two legs, has a tail to balance it.

This dinosaurs is 3000 "fousand" pounds and it is bigger than a  human. If it had to battle Allosaurus it would lose and Allosaurus would win.

Acrocanthrosaurus

Acrocanthrosaurus is a meat-eater from the early Cretaceous. It has a ridge on its back, but it's not as big as the Spinosaurus ridge.  It's a part the theropard club, which means it's a three-towed feet and a long tail for balance.

A theropod has a great sense of smell! I think that Acrocanthrosaurus had a great sense of smell.

Fossils for this dinosaur have been found in Texas and Oklahoma and paleontologists have recently been able to study things about Acro's brain!!

Here's a video for you to watch.  I think it's funny. There's a red carnivore and a blue herbivore. First, the herbivore whacks his tail and the meat eater bites his neck, and then the herbivore dies!

Sharp Horns!

Xenotarsosaurus had two horns and it really had big lumps on his back. It lived in the late Cretaceous and it hunts for meat to eat. And it is a Therapod because it has three claws on its feet and it has a big, long tail for balance and it has big, sharp horns and that's it.

Only a small few fossils have been found in Argentina for this dinosaur and so we don't know very much about it. I think it's a cousin to Allosaurus.

Good Hunters...Deinonychus

Today we're going to learn about Deinonychus.

Deinonychus is a good hunter and their claws are bigger than Troodon claws. They eat meat and they live in the Cretacsous and sometimes they hunt in packs.

They kills herbavoires, who eat plants and they love their toe claws that they use to hunt with. Deinonychus loves meat!

Cryolophosaurus - Cousin to Allosaurus, I Think...

Today I'm going to tell you about Cryolophosaurus.

This dinosaur has a crest on its head. It lived in Antarctica during the Jurassic time period. It is special because not many dinosaurs have been in Antarctica. But during the Jurassic Antarctica was hot, not cold.

Crylophosaurus is smaller than an Allosaurus. Allosaurus doesn't have a crest, but Ceratosaurus had three horns on his head.

Crylophosaurus would eat meat and kill other creatures that lived in the Jurassic.  In the Jurassic it was very hot. And that's it.

Ooooh Ya!! Spinosaurus

This is a very, very awesome video about Spinosaurs. This video is awesome because it's all Spinosaurus and I like the music. Na......na na na na na!

Spinosaurus the most awaesomest creature in the Cretaceous, but Gigonotosaurus was the biggest of them all. Spinosaurus eats meat and fish and they can run fast. Spinosaurus has a sail or a ridge on its back; this is a feature on this species that helps me know it's a Spinosaurus.

Watch this super awesome video!

Don - The Silliest Pteranodon

My favorite character on Dinosaur Train is Don. He is a pteranodon.

Don is the silliest and I wished I was Don sometimes, and my Mommy was Deloris the Tyrannosaurs. Sometimes I wished I lived with Mr. and Mrs. Pteranodon.

He lives in the Cretaceous.  He eats fish. He has three claws and wings too! He doesn't hunt, he just catches fish out of ponds.

I like Don the best because he says "Whaa-Whaa-Whoo!"

All About Allosaurus

Allosaurus lived on Earth during the Jurassic time period. It ate meat, so it was a carnivore. It had three claws and three toes on it's feet.

Allosaurus was in the therapod club. To be in the Therapod club a dino has to eat meat, have three claws and three toes.
